While I was driving home from work yesterday, I stopped behind a car at one point that had bumper stickers that said "Wish it. Dream it. Do it." What a great thought.
Wish it. Wishing for things in life is the first step in actually getting things accomplished. You wish at 11:11, on birthday candles, on a shooting star. These unrequited requests provide the spark for the refiner's fire that is your goal. Someday you will be different, and this wish is just the beginning.
Dream it. You have to make plans to achieve your goals. You have to lay out a fresh blueprint and take your piece of chalk and start to draw. Where are you going to go? What will it take for this wish to be fulfilled? Think up all your options, plan where mistakes might take you. Go to all lengths to find a way for your wish to be realized.
Do it. Take action! As Ms. Frizzle says, "Now is the time to take chances, make mistakes, get messy!" This isn't going to be an easy process. It's probably going to take your all, but you can do it. Nothing get's done unless you get it done. Sounds stupid, but it's quite the truth. Achieve your goal. Follow your dreams. Fulfill that wish.
Wish it. Dream it. Do it.
Booyah.
What about those other wishes, you ask? The ones like "I wish I weren't sick," or "I wish (s)he liked me." These are the wishes you can't necessarily plan out. You can't exactly make your heart love someone or someone else love you. You can't say "Virus, get out!" But you can fight. You can push on, you can endure. Someday you will be okay. It's not easy. But it will be worth it. Be a fighter. Fight until the bitter end, and you will be all the better of a person because of it. And know that when you've reached the lowest of the lows, you can cry out to your Father in Heaven, your God who loves you infinitely. And He will help you, and comfort you. After all, as someone said in a talk I listened to once, "Two people can do anything, as long as one of those people is God."
You will make it through.
I don't really know what brought on this serious post, haha. It happens sometimes, I guess.
